MSAND-WAMSS Leadership Development Workshop
The annual MSAND-WAMSS LDW is back again in 2009! When: Tuesday 11th August 2009, 8:30am- 5pm Where: The Niche Independent Living Centre, QEII Medical Centre, SCGH Cost: $20 (This includes morning and arvo tea, lunch, delegate pack, program and a certificate – great for the ‘folio!) Who: This event is open to all Notre Dame Med students (6 places per year group. Obviously if spaces aren’t filled in a particular year group, it will go to another year) What is it all about? LDW is a great opportunity for those students interested in leadership, whether it is in association with Medicine, AMSA or in other extracurricular endeavours. The day is composed of some fantastic speakers, workshops, discussions of issues affecting you as a current med student and the chance to meet and mingle with your fellow colleagues from UWA. With a theme of ‘Maintaining strong leadership and medical education in the face of change’ there is a focus not only on leadership, but also the transition between pre-clinical, clinical and working life and the issues arising with such change. Buying Tickets: This is just a first in first served basis, so if you are interested, get to it! You are able to purchase tickets online from www.wamss.org.au/ldw (make sure you select Notre Dame in the drop down box) OR you can purchase one off me directly. It will be a great day that will stimulate thoughts outside the good old medicine bubble that we all get caught up in now and then! Looking forward to seeing a great crew from ND there, so get on board and get involved!
