Keen to have your say in the direction of our medical school at the highest level? The Australian Medical Council (AMC) are performing the planned review of accreditation of our medical school from June 8th-11th, visiting UNDA Fremantle to meet with students and staff at both the university and clinical sites. There is an opportunity for a small number of students to meet directly and exclusively with the AMC during their visit to discuss our medical school experience and MSAND calls for expressions interest to participate in this process. This is an extremely important process influencing the future direction of our medical school and one that is intended to both recognize our strengths and provide feedback that will guides changes to our experience as students. If you are keen to be involved then please provide a 50-100 word email to Meg Wrate at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by 5pm Friday the 15th of May. The email should detail your current year group and experiences as a student (eg recent MED100 PBLs, supp exams, RCS, honours program, clinical rotations including sites etc) The intention is to select a broad group of representatives that have different experiences of the medical school so that feedback may be provided to the AMC drawing on all our experiences as students. While still awaiting final confirmation with the AMC the student working groups will consist of approximately:
It is anticipated that each group will meet with the AMC for approx an hour at some point over the four days. MSAND has provided the AMC with a briefing document to provide background information for the visit. This will be helpful to guide discussions and is available on the forum. The submission by MSAND is available here to download (PDF - 87Kb) |
